The best part of the book by Steven Pressfield is he doesn't forget the rest of Greeks. While he shows us the Spartan life-style - their military training and how they came to overcome their fears - he also shows us those other warriors, those allies of Sparta, such as the Thespians, soldiers who came to fight along side their fellow-Greeks. And stayed to die along side them.
Freedom always comes with a price, And if you're not willing to pay it don't complain about the chains you wear.
